형용사는 8품사중 하나로 명사를 설명하는 역할을 합니다.

형용사로 만들어주는 접미사

• -able ex)advisable

형용사의 종류

명사 앞, 뒤에서 수식

• 형용사 바로 앞, 뒤에서 수식하여 꾸며준다.
  • Travelers will receive the final confirmation for their trip on Monday.
  • The surprisingly suspenseful film has proven popular with moviegoers.
  • John was praised for his incredible job performance during the advertising campign.
  • The bank makes every effor possible to ensure the safety of the cashiers.

    앞 뒤에서 다 수식 가능한거 잊지 말자

    보어자리에서 수식

• 2형식에서 주어에 대한 설명, 꾸며주는 말로 쓰인다
  • she is beautiful
• 5형식에서 목적어에 대한 설명, 꾸며주는 말로 쓰인다
  • she make clothes comfortable

    한정사

• 명사의 수나 양을 한정하는데 쓰인다.

한정된 명사의 부분이나 전체를 나타내는 경우

one/two, each, all, both, none, many, much, most, several, some, any, (a) few, (a) little + of the + 명사

of the가 부분이나 전체를 나타내는 경우 반드시 들어가야 되는데, 예외적으로 all, both은 of 생략가능

• the -> 소유격으로 대체 가능
  • all of our instructors have master’s degrees.
• many는 그 자체로 명사로 쓰일 수 있음 -> 다수의 사람이라는 뜻으로
